The Residences Design Concept
The design concept seeks to provide a new level of design excellence incorporating future proofing, and sustainability from the creative minds of highly respected professional designers that will greatly benefit the owners of Marina Residences and also enhance the Wanaka community now and into the future.
The project will create 4 exceptional modern residences that are designed for luxury living with flexible use over several levels featuring timeless design and furnishings. The choice of construction, materials, and colours are combined into the overall design in consideration of maintenance and respect for the pristine environment. The use of different earthy coloured natural materials is to provide individual visual ownership to each of the 4 properties and identity.The combination of common base materials and colours extended over all units provides design continuity and maintains and enhances the quality and valve of all luxury apartments.
The design features floating roofs above glazed walls to provide a North to South axis of flowing living spaces from indoor to outdoor maximising exposure to sunlight and capturing an array of outstanding views and the connection of residence to the Marina location.
The design solution is integral with the landscape, being both part of the landscape, and also viewing the landscape. The Residences will also have a presence and ambiance of being a modern complex with individual character and a point of difference that will enrich the architecture of Wanaka and set a new benchmark for contemporary residences to aspire to.
Site plans / Landscape Plan 
Visit the site and see how the 4 residences are positioned to capture the panoramic views. The properties have a common central walkway with landscaping that provides a view shaft through the site linking Lake Wanaka and Lismore Park either side of the site. The roofs are terraced with glazed roof lights for sunlight to warm and enlighten the residence interiors. The design will minimise any cross shading of adjacent residences while retaining individual access and privacy.
Floor plans
Tour the floor plans and discover the apartment styled upper level plan that has lift access and stair access to lower levels designed for flexible use for extended family, friends, or rental. Residences 1 and 2 have a vehicle lift to provide an extra car park, and therefore the lower levels can be used as an independent flat with income as required. The spacious interiors are well appointed with internationally recognized services and features to suit the modern living style.
Cross Sections / Elevations
View the Sections and Elevations to see the clean lines of contemporary modern architecture. The flat roofs appear to float above glazed walls to provide a transparency that provides extended view shafts through the residences to link the interiors to the surrounding landscape. Glazing has been provided within the split levelled design to allow downward vistas to Lake Wanaka and Wanaka township, plus upward panoramic views to the surrounding mountain ranges and skyline.
